Semester Abroad

To get an immersive experience, consider spending a semester abroad. The cost is the same – Piedmont or abroad – just pay your regular Piedmont tuition, room and board and you'll have access to the full student experience at an international university.* You can continue to take courses in your major, courses that fulfill your General Education core requirements or even courses you may not be able to get at Piedmont.

*In Germany and England, the housing costs are slightly more than your Piedmont room/board.

Costa Rica 🇨🇷

Warm, sandy beaches and a laid-back culture invite you to explore the diversity of Costa Rica in the context of your field of study. Costa Rica is known for its bio-diversity, but you are not limited to science courses. At Veritas University you can take courses in the business of ecotourism, the photography of tropical plants and animals, homeopathic healthcare, Spanish and, of course, the science of the rich variety of plants and animals.

England 🇬🇧

Nottingham may evoke images of Robin Hood and the Sherwood Forrest, but there is more to this modern university. Spending a semester at the University of Nottingham allows you to take courses in any of the colleges – arts, engineering, science, social science, language or health sciences.

Germany 🇩🇪

Whether you study in Bonn or Paderborn, you will be at the nexus of rich history and innovative futures. Set in the hometown of Beethoven (Bonn) or the headquarters for several IT corporations (Paderborn), you will have the opportunity to study a wide variety of subjects. While there are some courses taught in English, most are taught in German and require a B1 level certification (typically advanced intermediate level).

Read the literature and learn the history in the classroom of Charles University (one of the oldest universities in Europe), while exploring a whole new perspective in one of the most interesting (and most affordable) towns in the world.
