Chandler Brown
Assistant Professor
Professor Brown earned her M.Ed in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Valdosta State University in 2016, and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has extensive clinical experience, having worked with diverse populations in private practice, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and public-school systems.
With over nine years of experience in the field of speech-language pathology, Professor Brown specializes in dysphagia including oral motor development, craniofacial therapy and SOS Approach to feeding; as well as early intervention, interprofessional practice and caregiver education.
Currently, Professor Brown serves as Assistant Professor for Communication Sciences and Disorders at Piedmont University. She is passionate about advancing the field of speech-language pathology and fostering the next generation of clinicians and researchers as well aspromoting interdisciplinary collaboration and exploring innovative approaches.
