Amy Cox
Clinical Supervisor
Amy Cox received her B.S.Ed. Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 1995 and her M.A. in speech-language pathology from The University of Memphis in 1997. While in Memphis, she conducted initial research with Dr. Karen Pollock which developed into the Memphis Vowel Project. After working in long term care, home health, and school systems, Amy became the Executive Director of the Northeast Georgia Speech Center in Gainesville, GA in 2021. Amy’s specialty areas include child speech and language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and bilingual assessment and intervention. Currently, Amy Cox serves as Clinical Placement Coordinator and External Clinical Supervisor for Communication Sciences and Disorders at Piedmont University.
