Criminal Justice & Forensic Science Prospective Student Day
Are you curious about what makes criminals tick? Do you want to know how crime scenes are processed and evidence is analyzed? Do you love mysteries and discovering why things happened? The Department of Social Sciences is offering you the chance to experience being a Criminal Justice and/or Forensic Science student for the day. During your time on campus, you will meet our esteemed faculty, have an opportunity to attend a class, immerse yourself in a hands-on forensic science mock crime scene, and take a tour of our picturesque campus nestled in the heart of North Georgia.
This all-day event is for high school juniors and seniors interested in criminal justice and forensic science. Participants will attend classes, engage in mock crime scenes, and tour Piedmont's cutting-edge facilities. Students will hear from admissions staff and speak with the Criminalistics Club president about all the out-of-classroom experiences we offer our students as well.
Parents are welcome to attend the event and the parent Q&A session with Associate Dean Tony Frye. Parents can also join their students on the campus tours offered that afternoon.
Cost: $25 includes registration, lunch, and a t- shirt.
Participants should wear something comfortable and be prepared for indoor and outdoor events throughout the day. Close-toe shoes are required. You may want to bring a light jacket for the campus tour.
