Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about living on campus? We’ve got answers.
Q: Should I wait until obtaining information from other schools before sending back my application?
A: No. You can submit you housing application while you wait to hear from other schools. We recommend that students submit their housing application and housing deposit as soon as possible as space is limited within our residential facilities.
Q: Can I request my roommate as a first-year student?
A: Yes. When completing the Housing Application students are also required to create a profile in our roommate matching software (eRezLife). This allows for residents to match with friends, create roommate groups to live together and select their roommates for the upcoming year.
Q: Can I change roommates after one has been assigned to me?
A: No. Once assignments have been sent out we do not allow for changes to occur. Residents are able to change their roommate groupings up until assignments are sent out. Once the academic year starts, a room change request timeframe will open to allow for residents to change rooms. This takes place around 3 weeks into the semester.
Q: Where do first-year students live?
A: First-Year students will live in Mystic Hall which provides the opportunity for double or triple occupancy rooms. The other option available is Purcell Hall which offers double occupancy rooms that share a bathroom with a second double occupancy room.
Q: What is a suitemate?
A: Suitemates are students who share a communal space, such as a bathroom with another room. There are no suitemates in Mystic Hall, but there are suitemates in Purcell Hall.
