Museum Family Workshop: Collage for Kids

Featuring artist Alice Stone-Collins
Stone-Collins will lead students in a mixed-media collage project that combines cut paper, stickers, and other materials. This event is free and open to the public. Adults are required to accompany children. Recommended for ages 5 and older.
Alice Stone-Collins creates collages and installations that reflect aspects of contemporary life with an emphasis on pop culture, suburbia, and the landscape. An Atlanta-based artist, Stone-Collins grew up in northeast Georgia and has spent significant time in the Midwest. She holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Tennessee. Her artwork has been exhibited regionally and nationally. She has participated in artist residencies at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (KMAC) in Louisville, Kentucky, and the David and Julia White Artist Colony in Ciudad Colón, Costa Rica. Her contributions to the art world include features on the Studio Break Podcast and the publication of her work as cover art for Aurora: The Allegory Ridge Poetry Anthology. Additionally, she has been recognized as a finalist for the Jean-Claude Reynal Scholarship, among other honors and awards.
