Become a citizen of the world.
With a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, students develop a general interdisciplinary understanding of being a citizen in a global society.
Students also learn about the language and culture of one geographic area of the world, as well as an understanding of the political climate, economics, and history of that region. This major provides students with the necessary preparation to live and work in a globally connected world, whether in the business arena, government agencies, or nonprofit organizations.
As an International Studies major, you will spend your classroom time developing the cultural awareness and global perspective that are crucial for the 21st century. To complement your course work, International Studies majors can take advantage of Piedmont’s many opportunities for travel study such as semester abroad, Maymester travel, and international internships.
