Piedmont University Presents Voice Faculty Recital

The community is invited to the voice recital of Dr. Andrea M. Price, Professor of Music and Department Chair on Thurs., Feb. 29, at 7:30 PM at the Piedmont University Chapel. The recital will feature pianist, Dr. Karen Sigers, Associate Professor of Music, and will include program notes narrated by Bob Glass, Dean of Libraries & University Librarian.

Admission is free. 

The concert will feature works from Verdi, Strauss, Leoncavallo, Poulenc, Weill, Hammerstein II, Rodgers, and Beach.  

Dr. Price holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in voice performance from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Music in vocal performance from Appalachian State University, and a Bachelor of Music in music education and voice performance from Meredith College.

Price’s career has included numerous international performances, including recitals in Italy, Greece, and New Zealand. She has also been a featured soloist with the South Carolina Philharmonic and the Monroe Symphony Orchestra of Louisiana. She was the winner of the 2010 Georgia National Association of Teachers of Singing Artists Awards competition.
