Live Entertainment, Food, Vendors: Piedmont University’s First LionFest Will Take Place April 23
Piedmont University’s first LionFest, a daylong event involving live music, arts and crafts, and food and drink vendors will take place April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Demorest campus.
“LionFest is a celebration both of Piedmont University and the Habersham and Northeast Georgia community,” said Craig Rogers, vice president of university advancement, whose department is organizing LionFest.
“We invite everyone to come to campus for what is sure to be a great day with friends, family, and neighbors.”
Presented in conjunction with the Habersham Chamber of Commerce, LionFest will feature The Ivan Duke Band. Duke, a lifelong musician, has opened for such artists as Travis Tritt and Brooks & Dunn. Duke’s performance will begin at 11 a.m. Additional performers are planned throughout the day.
In addition to live entertainment, LionFest will feature more than 30 arts and crafts and other vendors, as well as food and drink vendors including:

- Road Atlas Pizza
- Doublecakes by Chris
- El Pilon Dominicano
- Soulful Kreations
- The Southern Grape
- Pattycakes
- Nosh
Temperance Public House will sell beer and wine. Patrons must be 21 and have a valid ID.
LionFest is free to attend and open to the public. All events will take place at Piedmont’s Arrendale Amphitheater, located at 359 College Drive on the northeast edge of the Demorest campus, off College Drive near the intersection of Maine Street.
